Review

CONTROL was one of the games I was initally very sceptical about. But after playing? HOOO BOY DO I LOVE THIS GAME!

CONTROL has to be one of the best games ive ever played in a long time. Its got that asthetic that I go BONKERS about (Bcuz im a retro weeb), and literally everything about it was polised to an absolute mirror finish. The story was also the most engaging one ive ever had in my enitre life, and I am not lying. Every moment that this game gives you to pause and think “I wonder what’ll happen next?” is ALWAYS fooled, and it just makes sure to keep you on your toes the entire time. It starts, Jesse wants to know “why does everyone keep calling me director?” and all these other questions, they all get awnsered in the best way possible by just dropping it on your fkn head. its great.

Also, this game is super super cool, yet also super hard if you dont treat it correctly. Every mechanic is super nice to use, super good to get used too and youll pick it up in literally no time, considering the combat is SUPER BRUTAL if you screw it up. The game really does draw you into wanting to look into every nook and cranny, really getting to admire and understand how big and unnatural the oldest house is.

For this game? I swear, this game is severely underrated and really needs more attention, since the story is super original and super engaging.

If you want to play CONTROL? Go do it, I personally think it is worth every penny that I spent on it, and you will also love the challange that it brings to you. This isnt a game that’ll coddle you, but more or less punish you for making the wrong mistakes, and you learn that quite early in combat. And Personally, thats what makes this feel so fresh and yet so good.
